Established in 1992, the Middlesex County Fire Academy is a more than 26-acre training facility. It offers a full range of courses for the firefighters and rescue personnel. The academy provides classroom instructions and training in aspects of fire, rescue and hazardous materials response. The Middlesex County Fire Academy training situations feature a burn building, training tower, flammable liquid and gas handling vehicle extrication areas and a drafting pond. It has an amphitheater with seating capacity of over 180 people with audiovisual capabilities. The Middlesex County Fire Academy is located in Sayreville, N.J.
