  During dental school she was a member of Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity & was active in community service including a mission trip to Jamaica.  She graduated with a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 2006 Magna Cum Laude. At graduation she was honored with the following awards: the Academy of General Dentistry Award,  the Chicago Dental Society Student Recognition Award, the Owen Jacquemin Sullivan Award, & the Quintessence Award in Periodontics.  After graduation Dr. Schwalbe joined her father's practice in 2006.  She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Illini District Dental Society, of which she is a past President.  Dr. Schwalbe also enjoys spending free time with her family and is an avid Illinois sports fan.  She and her husband, Dave, got married in March 2012 and have two children, Will & Luke.
