Food was good, service was good, but I was horrified by the fact that ALL the food and drinks are served in disposable containers! The impact and amount of trash that that one restaurant alone has on the enviroment generates is just so hard to take...not good for the planet and I think very bad for business...Sad.

This was the worst place I have even eaten at in my entire life - no exaggeration! Sat inside with the LOUD...and I mean LOUD music.....Lovely waitress but she was penalized due to the slow service from the kitchen (more than 45 minutes!) plus the fact that my fish was not cooked (I was sick later in the evening!) and my friend's Teriaki Chicken wings were burnt! ..... I heave at the thought of this place!

this is a popular spot right before the bridge at bull river marina heading out towards tybee. its owned by the couple who ran williams seafood which was just up the road from flying fish but which burned down a few years ago. that makes flying fish a phoenix of sorts. lots of cars parked outside attest to the popularity of this small place which sports a deck, some umbrella clad tables inside and a bar framed with tin inside. i love the crab basket, moist, fresh with fries and slaw and hushpuppies. priced in low to mid teens for fried baskets, more expensive fare available. this is a casual place which offers live music on weekends. check it out sometime, its worth a visit! oh, service is good even when crowded, reasonable wait for food to be prepared and your empty non-alcoholic drink wont stay empty for long if at all.
