- Pregnancy
- Labor and DeliveryMany women have changes to their abdomen with childbirth and with weight changes. We evaluate everyone’s abdomen individually to determine if they have extra fat, extra skin and possibly abdominal wall weakness. We try to treat only the problem areas that one has. If you have loose skin and abdominal wall weakness, you may be a suitable candidate for tummy tuck.
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Depression
- Mental HealthBreast reduction candidates generally include women who are bothered by large, sagging breasts that cause uncomfortable symptoms (including back, neck or shoulder pain; skin irritation or rashes; breathing problems; and shoulder indentations from bra straps). These women might feel their activity level is restricted because of oversized breasts, and they may suffer mental health problems, such as anxiety or depression, because of the way their breasts look. Conservative treatment including physical therapy and weight loss should be attempted first.
- Anxiety
- UltrasoundWhile there is no evidence that breast implants can cause breast cancer, they may change the way mammography is done to detect cancer. When you request a routine mammogram, be sure to go to a radiology center where technicians are experienced in the special techniques required to get a reliable x-ray of a breast with an implant. Additional views will be required. Ultrasound examinations may be of benefit in some women with implants to detect breast lumps or to evaluate the implant.
- Radiology
- X-Rays
- MammographyOnce the bandages and dressings have been removed, you’ll wear a support bra for several weeks. You may find that some breast sensation returns and that the incision lines fade. It’s critical to remain consistent with breast examinations and mammography. If implants have been placed, there are special radiography facilities that are equipped to perform mammograms on women with implants.

- Brow LiftThe fundamental purpose of a facelift is to improve the most visible signs of aging. Signs of aging that can be improved through a face lift or variation of a face lift would be sagging cheeks, folds between the nose and mouth, sagging skin around the jaw and excess fat deposits in the facial area. Some people elect to have plastic surgery on other areas of the face to achieve a fully satisfactory outcome. The forehead or brow lift focuses on improving the brow and wrinkles of the forehead area. Eyelid (blepharoplasty) surgery removed the excess skin and fat of the eyes. A neck lift may be performed to smooth out the excess skin of the neck. Rhinoplasty reshapes the nose to a more natural balance and silhouette. Face lifts may be performed in conjunction with one or more other procedures to add total balance and harmony to your face.
- Eyelid SurgeryBlepharoplasty, otherwise known as eyelid surgery, is designed to remove fat, skin and muscle, as necessary, from the upper and lower eyelid to improve droopy eyelids or puffy bags below your eyes. Blepharoplasty may be performed to assist with aging or because of a natural deformity.

- Breast AugmentationAbsolutely. I believe there is a misnomer about having a breast augmentation. When people find out what I did they think I must not have gotten my monies worth because I am not voluptuous. That is why I am so happy. The physician really took the time to talk with me to find out what I wanted. That was very important to me. I am very active and like to run. Having very big breasts would not have made me feel comfortable. All of my expectations were met.
- Breast ReductionReady to get breast reduction surgery in Savannah? For most women with heavy, oversized breasts, breast reduction is a life-changing operation. Not only does breast reduction have visible cosmetic benefits, it can also provide relief from a variety of medical problems caused by the weight and mass of the breasts. Reducing large, pendulous breasts improves a patient’s appearance, health, activity level, confidence, self-esteem and more.
- Breast LiftOver the years, factors such as pregnancy, nursing and the force of gravity take their toll on a woman’s breasts. As the skin loses its elasticity, the breasts often lose their shape and firmness and begin to sag. Breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts–at least, for a time. (No surgery can permanently delay the effects of gravity.) Mastopexy can also reduce the size of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple. If your breasts are small or have lost volume—for example, after pregnancy— breast implants inserted in conjunction with mastopexy can increase both their firmness and their size. If you’re considering a breast lift, this brochure will give you a basic understanding of the procedure—when it can help, how it’s performed, and what results you can expect. It can’t answer all of your questions, since a lot depends on your individual circumstances. Please be sure to ask your doctor if there is anything about the procedure you don’t understand.
- RhinoplastyRhinoplasty is the procedure designed to reshape your nose. The rhinoplasty procedure may be performed alone or in conjunction with other procedures when necessary.
- Breast ReconstructionBreast reconstruction candidates are usually women who have had their entire breast(s) removed with mastectomy. Others lose their breasts to trauma. The physical and emotional health and stability of the breast reconstruction candidate is important and should be considered carefully by the patient and her doctors. Other factors of candidacy include the stage of breast cancer, the type of cancer treatment, amount of tissue available for a flap, whether one or both breasts require reconstruction and the size of the natural breast.

Our practice focuses on matching the appropriate operative procedure with your needs.

- Lip AugmentationLip fullness in today’s society is a sign of beauty and youthfulness. Lip enhancement or lip augmentation (such as Collagen injections), can be achieved using both non-surgical and surgical techniques. The non-surgical techniques for lip augmentation tend to be less long lasting, but are also less extensive and offer an easier recovery. These injectable fillers (collagen, Cymetra) can be done quickly and may provide a nice simple enhancement. The surgical lip augmentation, using fat injection, other body tissues, or synthesized materials, tends to have a longer lasting to permanent enhancement, but take longer to recover from. Whether the Collagen injections or surgical lip augmentation technique is utilized, the result can be very pleasing and offer a significant improvement in the upper and lower lip fullness.

- DermabrasionFace lifts, including a mini face lift, threadlift, mid face lift, deep plane lift help improve the appearance of your face by focusing on your signs of aging. Faces feel the effects of sun exposure, gravity and the natural progression of age. These factors contribute to sagging cheeks, circles below your eyes, smiles lines and nasiofolds. Face lift procedures can reduce the impact of aging on your face. Forehead or brow lines can be improved through a forehead lift or brow lift. Blepharoplasty procedures reduce and lift excess skin around the eyes. Rhinoplasty focuses on reshaping your nose.
