I worked for this company at the Georgia Ports Authority for around 3 years. Being an African American is not a plus in this company. A lot of the times I would be the first one in the office and on many occasions I would be close to the last one to leave the office. I rarely took a lunch break and when it would be slow in the office I would go and work in the warehouse. Because of my skin color I was passed up for a promotion on many occasions. I was never good enough to get promoted, however I was always good enough to train the Caucasian people that got the promotion. Oh yeah the owner and the secretary of the overall company out in California was very aware of me and my situation. I kept all of the emails and letters. One of the Caucasian people that I trained had a heart and would tell me what was said and done about me. I hope that all of the craziness and torch that I went through helped made this company a better place for non Caucasian people! !
