Saugatuck Drugstore Soda Fountain
General Info
This Old Fashioned Soda Fountain is a staple for locals in Saugatuck. It has been here since 1913. It is in the back of the drug store. Coincidentally, kiddie-corner to Kilwins. What is great about this soda fountain, is that they do make old-fashioned sodas with heaps of ice-cream - and local Hudsonville Ice-Cream. Even better, this is a hidden gem for families in this ever-so growing, expensive tourist town (I am from nearby Grand Rapids....and FYI...the reason I had so many reviews last year, I took a year off to explore my #1 passion -traveling- from my real job (litigation); so if you would like an attorney turned writer/traveler/reviewer, I would be a great fit. But why it is a hidden gem for families: the Soda Fountain has hot dogs, fries, small $3 pizzas, pretzels - all the small stuff little kids love and that would make them happy after a hot day on the boat or at the beach, along with a small ice-cream cone or old-fashioned root-beer float. It's a great place. This Old Fashioned Soda Fountain is a staple for locals in Saugatuck. It has been here since 1913. It is in the back of the drug store. Coincidentally, kiddie-corner to Kilwins.
