  X-rays and impressions (molds) are taken of the jaw to determine how much space is available for an implant. While the area will be numb, a dentist surgically places it into bone– healing in time before placing your new tooth! You’ll need one more surgery depending on what type you choose: either post insertion if there’s already one attached at home or another procedure where both posts come out together with other types that require them individually).
