Turfmaster Lawn Services and Turfmaster Home & Lawn Services are both locally owned companies. Owner Mark Hughes and Terry Crews have been in the lawn and pest control business for a combined 35 plus years in Sarasota. Our mission is to help you enjoy your home. We help you to have and maintain a beautiful exterior landscape and a pest free environment. Safety for your family and pets is priority one. Professionalism is what we offer you in service. Uniformed technicians and clean, radio dispatched trucks is all that you will ever see at your home. Sarasota is our home. We live here, we work here. We honor our commitments to our customers. He and his father started their first business, Hughes Exterminating, in Sarasota in 1979. Hughes handled all aspects of pest control - household, commercial, termites. In 1991, shortly before the sale of Hughes, Mark branched out to concentrate solely on lawn and plant work. Turfmaster has grown to 16 routes and 26 employees. In August of 1995, Terry Crews came on board as Mark's partner to start Turfmaster Home & Lawn Services, which handles the interior pest control side of the business. Terry brought years of knowledge in the pest control industry having worked with Mark and his father at Hughes Exterminating. Terry's business has grown to 4 routes and 8 employees

My new sod never received any granular fertilizer for the first 8 months because they insisted on liquid fertilizer, but after many complaints they came out and used granular, and by then it was weak and full of grasses they said they couldn't control. I ended up having to re-sod. Terrible service!

we used them for irrigation repairs and were very pleased with the results. the gentleman who did the estimate and one who does the work were great to work with. even the office staff was plesant and helpful. we will definitely be calling them again in the future. thanks turfmaster!

In the 3 years we have used Turfmaster, there has only been 1 time we had a disagreement. It was resolved after numerous calls back and forth, so I give the manager credit for that. My technician is great and cares about his job and my yard.

I have found Turfmaster's employees to be professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. If I ever need them between scheduled services, they come back to address my problems right away and don't charge me. I would recommend this company to anyone.

We have been using Turfmaster for over 10 years for both the lawn and interior pest services. They are a pleasure to deal with and have always addressed any questions or concerns we have had in a timely and professional manner. I recommend their services to all of our friends and neighbors.

I have recieved extremely poor service from this company and after many problems finally had to cancel service with them. They treat according to their scheduled maintenance treatments and not by what the lawn actually needs at the time. There is little to no diagnostic done from visit to visit and customer service is not helpful at all.
