Nestled on seven acres, Friends Association of Services for the Elderly, dba, Friends House, opened in 1984. A nonprofit Continuing Care Retirement Community Friends House has fully-equipped kitchens in garden apartments for Independent Living, an Assisted Living Center, a Skilled Nursing Health Care Unit, and a Rehabilitation Center. Friends House offers a comprehensive range of services and amenities as well as activities and wellness programs designed to enhance residents’ vitality. Residents and staff schedule and coordinate a variety of social events, entertainment, and recreational excursions. Three meals each day are available in the Friends Café. Amenities include: housekeeping, a Fitness Center; a thrift shop called Susan’s Table; hair salon; complimentary laundry facilities; a library with over 4,000 cataloged volumes, an Art Corridor featuring local artists; each apartment has its own garden space; over 100 fruit trees, and a creek path.
