Located in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., the Police Services Center is responsible for the management of law enforcement services within the city. The center is staffed by both city personnel and officers of the Whittier Police Department, who provide services to Santa Fe Springs under contract. It supports the Community School Attendance Review Team (SART), which provides youth intervention services and acts as an intermediary between schools and the juvenile court, enabling various community and school solutions to be applied before referring the student to the district attorney or the juvenile court. The Police Services Center organizes a variety of public safety education programs and provides educational written materials, video tapes and speakers for individual or group use.
