We also affirm the importance of conventional approaches and procedures. While conventional modalities are very effective for acute medical problems, chronic conditions are generally best served by focusing on the preventive aspects. Healthy and vital choices and treatments can help maintain balance, and many conditions can be altered, delayed, reduced, or prevented entirely. Together, we will create: A health care program principled in science and tradition where the patient is treated as a whole person and respected as an individual.
