The finance department provides financial expertise and guidance to the city council and departments. It offers a range of general services, including purchasing, central warehouse, mail courier services and water meter reading. The department manages the city s daily operations and the financial integrity. It is a part of the city of Santa Barbara consisting of five divisions and eighteen programs. The finance department also offers a number of services in the categories, such as administration, treasury, risk management and accounting.
