- Internal MedicineDr. Alexander Hardwick is returning to Santa Barbara to join the Santa Barbara Cardiovascular Medical Group. He started his medical training in Springfield, Illinois where he completed medical school at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency here at Cottage Hospital and was named Chief Resident in his final year. Following this he completed his general cardiology fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Norther California/ San Francisco Medical Center, where he was also named chief fellow. During his time as an internal medicine resident at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara he developed a love for the community and the area. He is now excited to be able to serve this community once again.
- UltrasoundVishal specializes in preventive cardiology but also brings highly advanced skills to our practice. He is board certified in nuclear and ultrasound imaging of the heart and serves as the medical director of our ultrasound imaging lab. He was elected to the medical honors society, Alpha Omega Alpha, in recognition of his performance as a senior resident at UC Davis. He was chosen as the chief fellow during his cardiology training. He was later given the coveted Teacher of the Year award here in Santa Barbara. He enjoys teaching young physicians about cardiology, and you will frequently see trainees with him.
