SBBC is now known as Santa Barbara Festival Ballet, but it is still the best place to learn ballet in town. The teachers are fabulous; my dancers moved to SBFB from another studio and truly flourished in ways we never expected. Miss Emmy Lou Crawford is a local treasure and probably the finest dance teacher for young children in the county; she and all the other teachers each bring their own unique (but uniformly professional) approach to teaching dancers of literally all ages, toddlers through adults. There are many ballet studios in the area, some much closer to my home, but I would not bring my daughter anywhere but Santa Barbara Festival Ballet.

Santa Barbara Festival Ballet (previously SBBC) is the best dance studio in the SB area! I have danced at most of the studios in this area and SBFB wins! The faculty is amazing, most of them teach at ucsb and are all the ballet teachers are certified Cecchetti teachers; they are caring and really want each dancer to become the best they can. The dancers are kind and welcoming. We get to perform the Nutcracker at the beautiful Arlington theater with a live orchestra( the only nutcracker in the area with one!) with gorgeous hand-made costumes and backdrops. This year, former Principle with ABT, Michele Wiles, was our Sugar Plum. SBFB alumni includes dancers who dance with ABT II, OBT, Alberta Ballet, Houston Ballet, and schools such as Julliard, Joffrey, the Rock School, JKO school, and the Kirov (just to name a few!). In conclusion if you want to study dance in SB and want to become amazing, have great experiences, and have fun while you do it, you should dance at SBFB!

Santa Barbara Festival Ballet has a wonderful professional training program for dancers. They aslo produce the best Nutcracker and other opportunities for the dancers to perform. This year they joined Regional Dance America and now my daughter has the chance to go to incredible regional conferences as well.

My daughter has been taking lessons from this studio for 8 years. Our experience has been nothing but wonderful. I have no reservations in saying that this is the best place in SB or Goleta to learn ballet, whether you want a career in ballet, or just want to dance for fun.

This is the best ballet center in town. The training is top notch, the instructors are amazing, the students put on the best Nutcracker in town with a live symphony orchestra. The students are a great, close-knit group and very welcoming to newcomers!

You know virtually everyone and they become your home away from home. They notice when your having trouble and help you through it by always being there for you when you need it most. I have developed more friends through this wonderful place than I would have ever imagined. The older dancers welcome you as though you are best friends, the younger dancers look up to you. Students at the ballet center receive high quality training. The Nutcracker at the Arlington is an experience not to be missed! My daughter looks forward to this every year.
