The Parks and Recreation Department, operated by the Recreation and Community Services Division, is a part of the City of Sanger. The department provides opportunities to participate in football, basketball, volleyball and softball. It serves senior citizens and offers enrichment classes for children. The Parks and Recreation Department conducts first aid, safety and emergency care training sessions for infants. It also provides lessons in the fundamentals of boxing and nutrition, weight loss and physical health-related issues. The department operates a community center that organizes weddings, anniversary receptions, company meetings and gatherings. The Parks and Recreation Department also maintains a youth center and swimming pool.
