Meridian Junior High School offers a range of academic and extracurricular options to more than 400 students in grades five through eight. It operates a student council, as well as organizes a variety of events. The school conducts classes in English, math, science and social studies. It also offers junior achievement, and hunter s and boater s safety programs. The school operates a parent-teacher organization that conducts several fundraising events and programs. It maintains a library and media center that stocks books and periodicals. In addition, the school employs a psychologist, social worker and speech and language therapist. Meridian Junior High School offers various sports programs, including football, volleyball, and track and field. It is a part of the Meridian Public Schools, which governs various elementary, middle and high schools.
