McCoy Water Filter, Inc. is family owned and operated and founded on three generations of water treatment experience. Brian McCoy's grandfather, John O. McLean, invented the backwash water filter in 1955 and founded McLean Engineering, Inc. in 1971. Brian worked for McLean Engineering, Inc. for 12 years as a master service technician for the MacCLEAN Iron System. Brian McCoy founded McCoy Water Filter Inc. and is a Virginia State Licensed Plumber. Brian engineers, installs & services custom water treatment systems, water pressure and pump systems, and water conservation systems. We are the only water treatment company that holds Brian McCoy’s patent on entire water treatment methods: The McCoy Iron Removal System & McCoy Sulfur Elimination System.
