The Wakefield Fire Department works to protect lives and properties. It serves the citizens of Wakefield, Brookfield and Union in New Hampshire. The department offers fire protection and code enforcement solutions. The Wakefield Fire Department is also responsible for the issuance of burn permits. It responds to more than 795 calls annually. The department operates an emergency medical services division. The Wakefield Fire Department is a member of the Ossipee Valley Mutual Aid Association. It has a fleet of ambulances, engines, rescue units, tanks and trailers. The department operates seven days a week. The Wakefield Fire Department conducts fire inspections.
