Established in 1971, South Bay Community Services is a nonprofit organization that provides counseling and drug rehabilitative services. The organization offers individual, child, teen and family counseling programs. It specializes in providing parenting classes, child abuse prevention and intervention and housing services. South Bay Community Services has art therapies, child developmental screenings and 24-hour emergency response services available for its clients. The organization also provides tutoring, job skills training and substance abuse prevention services. It organizes critical hours, mental health, juvenile diversion and independent living skills programs. South Bay Community Services offers financial literacy educational and neighborhood improvement services. The organization has partnerships with Duke Energy, Standard Pacific, Allied Waste Services and The Ellis Foundation. It employs more than 200 people and is located in Chula Vista, Calif.
