Center Point is a private, nonprofit corporation that provides a range of health care services to at-risk individuals and families. Founded in 1971, Center Point is governed by a Community Board of Directors that is comprised of individuals from the civic, business, legal, financial and educational sectors. It offers a variety of educations and rehabilitation programs that are licensed by the California Department of Social Services and certified by the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Program. The corporation also provides various social, vocational, medical, psychological and housing services. Located in San Rafael, Calif., it offers residential and outpatient treatment programs and services. It conducts tests for infectious diseases and provides psychological and psychiatric evaluation and counseling services. In addition, Center Point offers in-custody therapeutic community and aftercare programs for inmates in California state prisons.
