This place is great! Just 2 blocks north of McDonalds on El Camino Real in San Mateo. The new owners Jeff & Manny (from Southern California) are super nice. Since they have opened, a lot of old customers are coming back in and enjoying what used to be the best place for lunch in town.A few years ago it was sold and pretty much disappeared off the map for lunch goers.BUT NOW, WOW! What an improvement. They still have hot lunches too.They also have the best donuts around. Very fresh. In fact, make sure you put the box of donuts in the back seat once you pick them up, or you will have the McDonald Fries Syndrome. You will eat one on the way home/work. TRUST ME!If you haven't tried Nicks, go check it out. If you used to go, and stopped, it's time to go back. Great sandwiches with lots of meat. Redecorated to include TV too. You can also eat out in the front patio which is well lit (located in the lobby).Prices are reasonable.ml
