My husband lost his wedding band at the golf course and we were tight on cash and couldn't afford to replace it, but Christie suggested we go look at home for jewelry that was broken or that we didn't want and sure enough, we had enough gold to cover the replacement of his 5mm 14K gold band and got a check for $374! I would recommend this place to anyone. (On a related note- we ordered a custom wedding band and it was ready in less than a week and was exactly as we requested. Go figure.)

We were excited to do custom wedding bands. We had grandpa's white fold ring and we wanted to add some gold and make two bands from it. 4 mm man's and 2mm woman's. The lady said that the estimated total price would be around $125. After 4 weeks we came to see the result. The rings were horrible. The ring which was made from the scratch was nonsymmetrical. The ugly appearance was referred to the attempt to leave a thicker place for a stone, which I "might like" in the future. The ring was 4mm instead of 2. The surfaces of the rings were poorly polished, with black oxidized spots, sharp edges (we didn't ask for the comfort fit because we were not jewelers!!! we didn't know such details). Finally the gold price suddenly went way up, our total invoice turned to be $244. Now we need to go to Zales or other similar store and fix the rings, another $120-180!
