- Medical Weight LossIf you are in the process of losing weight, you can begin to plan your surgery, but it will be wise to wait until you reach stable weight or you have closely reached your weight loss goal.
- Primary CareIf you have pre-existing health conditions, you may require a preliminary visit with your primary care physician to make certain that a surgical procedure is safe for you.
- Smoking CessationIf you smoke, it is strongly recommended that you stop smoking approximately two months before your surgery date. The effect of smoking decreases your tissue’s ability to heal well and may increase the risk of complications. You should see your primary care physician before beginning nicotine patches or gum. Alternatively, some individuals prefer to enroll into smoking cessation classes.
- Wound CareRecovery time will depend on the procedure performed. This will be discussed with you during your consultation, as well as when you are seen following your surgery for dressing and wound care.

- Mohs SurgeryMohs micrographic surgical methods have been gaining more and more acceptance, especially for removing facial basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas. Mohs surgery only takes the necessary amount of tissue around the skin cancer, minimizing the excision area, but leaving a defect.
- Reconstructive SurgeryHistorically, PRP has been primarily used in orthopedic medicine, dentistry and reconstructive surgery to help speed recovery. Now it is used to help damaged, aging skin grow new collagen and elastin for beautiful, youthful results.
- BotoxBOTOX® injections are used to reduce the appearance of “crow’s feet,†the lines that develop on the outer sides of the eyes, and the glabellar folds, or frown lines between the eyes. Once muscles of the forehead are injected with BOTOX® Cosmetic, they become relaxed and smooth the deep creases and wrinkles between and around the eyes.
- Brow LiftThe facelift procedure is often combined with eyelid surgery and brow lift for the best overall result in facial rejuvenation.
- Eyelid SurgeryBlepharoplasty is the procedure that corrects droopy upper eyelids, and removes puffiness and bags under the eyes. In upper and lower eyelid surgery, incisions are made in the natural skin folds of the eyelids to remove loose skin, excess fatty tissue, and/or protruding muscle. Fine sutures are used to close the incisions, minimizing the visibility of any scar. In some cases, incisions can be placed on the undersurface of the eyelid resulting in no external scar.
- LiposuctionBodyFX™ Body Shaping is the ultimate treatment for body contouring and cellulite treatment. It’s a new long-lasting, non-invasive solution to reduce the unsightly appearance of cellulite leading to improvements in your body contour. BodyFX provides a non-surgical alternative to liposuction and is the perfect solution to get rid of your mummy tummy or muffin top.
- RhinoplastyRhinoplasty is the surgical procedure for shaping the nose, a procedure that can make a noticeable difference by providing facial symmetry. This procedure can reduce or increase the size of the nose, remove an unwanted hump, change the shape of the tip or bridge, narrow the width of the nostrils, or change the angle between the nose and the upper lip. This surgery is also used to correct problems resulting from injury and can help relieve breathing difficulties by improving nasal function.
- Plastic SurgeryThe reasons to have facial plastic surgery span a wide spectrum and are highly individualized. Some people have birth disfigurements, while others are victims of accidents or suffer from cancer-related facial deformities. On the other hand, many individuals choose to have surgery for premature aging or desire to change the shape or size of a facial feature that has bothered them for years.
- Face LiftFaceTite from InMode is the newest minimally-invasive contouring solution for the face. Now you can achieve a dramatic, beautiful contoured and tone face with results similar to a facelift without the scalpel or scars. FaceTite also addresses loose skin that other treatments cannot target.
- Neck LiftPlatysmaplasty, or the neck lift, and Submental Lipectomy, are procedures that shape and modify the neck area. Platysmaplasty helps to lift the neck and Submental Lipectomy removes fat under the chin, commonly referred to as a ‘turkey wattle’ or double chin. For both procedures, small incisions are made under the chin. After trimming excess skin, the incisions are closed with sutures.
- BlepharoplastyExcessive skin around the eyes and wrinkling across the forehead can give a tired, angry, or sad expression on the face, which may not even reflect how we actually feel. Blepharoplasty can provide a refreshed, youthful appearance to the eyes and forehead area.

- OtoplastyOtoplasty is the surgical procedure used to reshape and modify the appearance of the ear, especially protruding ears. Children are the most likely candidates for Otoplasty; however, the surgery can be performed at any age after the ears have reached full size, usually around five to six years of age. Successful otoplasty provides that the ears be in proportion to the size and shape of the face and head. Otoplasty will not alter hearing ability.
- Lip AugmentationJUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC injectable gel is for injection into the lips for lip augmentation and for correction of perioral lines, often called “lipstick lines†. JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC lasts up to 1 year, with optimal treatment.
- Body ContouringBodyFX uses a combination of different clinically-proven modalities including radiofrequency energy, deep tissue heating and negative pressure. The radiofrequency energy distributes heat to the skin and underlying fat, causing the tissues to heat and contract. The vacuum and controlled energy pulses then work synergistically to provide beautiful body contouring results.
- Laser ResurfacingActive-FX™/Deep FX™ fractional laser treatments are an effective single treatment fractional laser resurfacing procedure using CO ₂ laser energy to treat fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars and depressions, freckles and age spots. The treatment’s results are smoother, tighter, younger-looking skin, without patients undergoing the deep redness, general anesthesia, and lengthy downtime of traditional CO ₂ laser skin resurfacing. Compared to other laser resurfacing “fractional†technologies, Active-FX cuts procedure time in half; can treat the eye area; requires only one treatment; is less costly, and uses “established†CO ₂ laser technology. A complete face can be treated in a single treatment in less than 30 minutes, and the required downtime can be as short as four days, essentially a long weekend.

- LesionsWhile many early or pre-cancerous lesions can be treated effectively by dermatologists with topical or non-surgical treatments, that is not always the case with more advanced skin cancers. They require surgical removal. Since many of these cancers appear on the face, these excisions can create defects with aesthetic and functional problems.
- Chemical PeelsChemical peels can be administered in an hour period, and patients can return to their normal activities. With some peels, patients may experience some light flaking within day one or two, and slight redness for one to twelve hours following treatment.
- Skin CareInMode offers the most comprehensive collection of aesthetic applications and equipment for skin care and rejuvenation, and is now available at the Bukachevsky Center.
