George Mark Children's House is a family-centered pediatric care center for families with seriously ill or dying children. With a presence in San Leandro, Calif., the center provides services to support parents and siblings, as well as the seriously ill children. It specializes in respite and home care services. George Mark Children's House offers transitional care program for children who has left the hospital and is ready to go home. The center also provides palliative care for children with lifespan limiting conditions and their families. It offers on-site medical and psychosocial services through trained pediatric program staff. George Mark Children's House additionally provides pain and symptom management and grief and bereavement counseling.
