Started in 1973 by Owner/Broker, Barry Ford, Western Property Group is one of the top Independent firms in the Valley. There is a trend sweeping the local Real Estate industry. It's a movement away from the franchise/mega- Brokers and toward the local Independent offices. The Remax's, The Coldwell Bankers and the Century 21's are struggling to keep their top producing agents. Realtors and consumers alike, are unwilling to accept the red tape and franchise politics that these huge offices operate under. Mandatory commission structures, six month listing contracts and listing contracts that can't be cancelled are a thing of the past, but the big Brokerages haven't accepted this change.
