General Info

I specialize in working with people who struggle in relationships that aren’t working as well as they could, or aren’t working at all in spite of extraordinary effort. I work with individuals of all ages, couples, and families to support them as they decide what they want in their relationships, work through steps towards their goals, and ultimately move past problem behaviors and dysfunctional relationship patterns. I have particular experience helping people identify and recover from domestic violence patterns and abusive relationship dynamics. I work with each patient individually to create a personalized treatment plan to address their specific goals and needs. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and registered art therapist and I often use a combination of art therapy, sandtray therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and narrative therapy to help my patients reach their goals. Because relationship problems are complicated, and therapy is not always the only or best solution, I offer a free 30 minute in person initial consultation session to hear and understand the problem(s) you want to resolve. That initial meeting is also an opportunity for me to describe how psychotherapy may or may not be able to help you resolve your specific concern or issue, and offer suggestions as to next steps you might take and/or referrals to other resources that may be able to help you.
