Founded in 1947 and located on busy Van Ness Ave, Tommy's Joynt is as much a landmark as it is a restaurant. The one of a kind Hofbrau is focused around freshly hand carved meats, generous portions, and over 100 different beers from all around the world. The menu highlights classic 1950's American cuisine at it's best. Famous for their Buffalo stew, large Turkey legs, braised lamb shanks and massive meaty sandwiches. Not the most ideal place for vegetarians, but it does offer salad items such as: macaroni, coleslaw, mixed pickled beans, and mixed vegetable salads. Pair your hot meal with one of the many "throwback" cocktails, or their classic Irish coffee. A unique place that truly captures the spirit of San Francisco and all it has to offer.
