Classic San Francisco favorites served by friendly staff with incredible harbor and bay views. The Grotto has been warming the bellies of Fishermen since 1935. It was the first sit down restaurant established in the neighborhood before Fishermen’s Wharf existed. Come experience our newly renovated restaurant, oyster bar, and lounge. This is a first-class place to go if you are looking for bona fide Italian food in town. They have so many good dishes in here and sometimes they have great grilled dishes.
My two kids and I ate here after long walk on Embarcadero and it was really great. Shrimp cocktail was delicious, oysters on half-she'll and clam chowder all really good. And so was the service!
