Environmental and Regulatory Compliance Division is a unit of San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. The department provides planning, environmental and regulatory compliance services to all the commission s departments and facilities. It provides a wide variety of water, wastewater, and municipal power services throughout the Calif. It has more than 20 water agencies and the commission also supplies water to over 1.5 million customers within various Bay area counties. It provides a broad range of services, such as regional, local water, wastewater and power services. The department also collects, treats and disposes the waste materials. The environmental department also manages and repairs a series of reservoirs, tunnels, pipelines, and treatment systems throughout California.
