Established in 1998, the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center is a nonprofit organization that offers child abuse and neglect prevention programs for children. It provides crisis intervention programs to reduce parental stress and enhance parenting skills, as well as provide public advocacy services for families and their children. The organization offers education, training and public awareness programs. It provides training services to more than 5,000 school children throughout San Francisco. The organization offers counseling and consulting solutions for children and their families in cases related to sexual and drug abuse. The San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center additionally provides free training services to teachers, law enforcement officers, medical personnel, and child care and social workers.
