I was very fortunate to have Dr. Grossman be my surgeon and care for me during my extensive stay at S. Francis both while in the burn center for 3 weeks and the 2 weeks I was in the general surgery ward. I am confident that his skill as a surgeon and the follow up care I received for the month and half after my discharge from the hospital is why I'm here today. He is straightforward, diligent, compassionate and caring. With the exception when he had a brief business trip out of town I saw him every day. Consider yourself very lucky and in good hands if you are able to have Dr. Grossman as your doctor.
Dr. Grossman was one of the physicians who cared for my husband Steve when he was admitted to the Bothin Burn Center in St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco last summer. I was very impressed with his professional "bedside manner" and kindness during the entire 30 days Steve was there. Steve presented Dr. Grossman with several complex and life-endangering issues, which Dr. Grossman (and the Burn Center staff) handled in stride, albeit with trepidation. He never lost his compassion and consideration and patiently answered all my questions in terms I could understand. He kept me very informed every step of the way, and I felt Steve and I were in good hands and received the best service we could hope for. I would never hesitate to have Dr. Grossman be our surgeon again, should we ever need one. Considering the stress level I was at (and likely caused Dr. Grossman to feel), I am so grateful for how he never showed it, and yet comforted us. Much appreciation! Mrs. Mary Myers
