BAART Behavioral Health Services provides substance abuse treatment services throughout California, North Carolina and Vermont. It provides behavioral treatment with medical care for individuals who are addicted to methamphetamine, cocaine, opioids, alcohol, marijuana and other drugs. It offers treatment through BAART Programs, which is a group that has been providing drug treatment services to heroin addicts in San Francisco since 1977. Each program of BAART Behavioral Health Services includes comprehensive medical and psychosocial assessment, medically assisted treatment options, drug and life skills education, group therapies, and case management and referral services. The organization follows a harm reduction model, pharmacotherapy and clinic-specific interventions that include motivational interviewing and substance abuse counseling. It is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
