Timothy Barounis, MD, is a board-certified family medicine doctor. He provides primary care for patients of all ages, including preventive care and treatment of acute and chronic diseases. As a family physician with advanced training in obstetrics care, Dr. Barounis can provide prenatal care and deliver babies. His clinical care also focuses on women's health and family planning. Dr. Barounis is experienced in a wide variety of both office-based and hospital-oriented procedures. He is familiar with the diagnosis and treatment of multiple disease states and health concerns.As an assistant professor of family medicine and public health, Dr. Barounis trains medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine.He completed his residency training at University of Illinois and UC Davis School of Medicine. Dr. Barounis earned his medical degree at Rush Medical College.
