Founded in 2002, San Diego Family Justice Center is a provider of support services to the victims of family violence. Based in San Diego, Calif., the agency specializes in the field of domestic violence intervention and prevention services. It renders an array of services, including counseling to victims, court support, forensic documentation of injuries, law enforcement, emergency housing, medical services and safety planning. San Diego Family Justice Center also offers legal assistance in numerous areas, such as divorce proceedings, court representation, child custody, immigration and restraining orders. It partners with police officers, prosecutors, civil legal service providers and community-based advocates.
