I've been to other Indian restaurants in the area and had a decent experience ,I wanted the best Indian food for my wedding because my Wife's parents are from India and we picked in this Indian Restaurant in down town because we have tried many Indian restaurants and we found this restaurant to be the best amongst the lot. The on site tandoor with exceptional decoration and live sitar and tabla music and buffet setup we loved it all. When we went to the restaurant to settle the bill we were asked to share our experience with others and I thought of writting on the net. I can not thank anymore when I told the owners to give special attantion because I want my mother in law to be impressed and she was really impressed and I am glad we picked this indian restaurant to cater the wedding.The customer service was great.

The tasteful decor, the excellent service, and especially the FOOD make Indian Garden one of my favorite restaurants for a long, conversational lunch or a romantic dinner. The samosas are the best anywhere, and every dish I've ever tried has become my favorite. It might be difficult to choose between the many restaurants on Devon, but Indian Garden stands out for its friendliness, consistency, and quality.

Clay ovens powered by mesquite wood cook not only breads but fish, chicken, and lamb to perfection. The kind, attentive, wonderful staff and royal interior create an upscale dining experience. A lunch buffet adds value, and curries are also amazing... :) People from all over love that this Indian establishment delivers oversized portions and hosts a tasty lunch buffet. An elegant dining room, accented by subdued lighting and a dramatic color scheme, adds a touch of class to the proceedings. Highly recommended by my co workers I indulged in a fun and pleasurable exploration of taste at Royal India an Exquisite Indian cuisine and cocktails in the Gaslamp area of San Diego located at 329 Market street, a place that definitely lived up to its name Royal. Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Nan and my friend ordered Lamb kabab and that was fantastic and well worth it for us to try the most delicious Indian food, as they are prepared with much care and time at Royal India as per the server . The curry was fresh and not too overwhelming in flavor, the chicken was tender I?m glad I decided to open my taste buds again to this wondrous treat as I?m sure many curry lovers (or newcomers) would attest! Royal India gave friendly service, beautiful palace like atmosphere yet the prices are modest.
