Regina M. Wang, MD, is a board-certified family medicine doctor. She provides primary care for patients of all ages, including preventive care and treatment of acute and chronic diseases.Dr. Wang believes in caring for the whole family in one place. She sees patients of all agesnewborn babies, adolescents, adults and seniors. Her scope of clinical care encompasses womens healthcare, including family planning and management of abnormal pap smears, as well as inpatient care at the hospital and dermatologic procedures.Dr. Wangs goal is to improve communication between doctors and their patients, and to promote health education. She has given many health talks to the deaf community and is passionate about working with the underserved locally and abroad. Dr. Wang has delivered care to those in local free clinics, and has done medical work in South Africa, Papua New Guinea, Ecuador and Mexico. As an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health, Dr. Wang is involved in training medical students and residents at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Wang completed a deaf medical fellowship at UC San Diego School of Medicine, where she learned American Sign Language. She completed a residency in family medicine at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in Long Beach, Calif. Dr. Wang earned her medical degree at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
