General Info
Mary OBoyle, MD, is a board-certified radiologist with expertise in body imaging. She uses ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and fluoroscopy to image the abdomen and pelvis to better diagnosis and treat a wide variety of health conditions, including cancer and high-risk pregnancies.She is chief of the ultrasound division at UC San Diego Health and medical director of the sonographer training program at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She is also a member of the gynecologic and gastrointestinal tumor boards at Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health.Dedicated to improving the quality of medicine, she serves on the Radiology Quality Assurance committee. Dr. O'Boyle also lectures nationwide on topics related to ultrasound, especially gynecology and obstetrics. In addition to her commitment to clinical excellence, she is actively involved in teaching fellows, residents and medical students and is co-director of the body imaging fellowship at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She completed fellowship training in body imaging at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. She completed residency training in diagnostic radiology at Pennsylvania Hospital and was chief resident in radiology. Dr. O'Boyle earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
