Located in San Diego, Horton Elementary School offers educational classes in kindergarten through grade six. The school has an annual enrollment of more than 600 students and its curriculum includes English, foreign language, writing, vocabulary, speech, basic and life skills, and art and music. In addition, it organizes various special education programs that include gifted and talented teaching and compensatory education. The school has a library that provides a large selection of reference books, archives, biographies, databases, encyclopedias, online dictionaries, newspapers and magazines. Horton Elementary School is a part of the San Diego Unified School District. It is one of the largest school districts in California and serves nearly 133,000 students.
