- ElectrocardiogramIt is an electronic form of palpation. MyoVision’s ScanVision™ uses Static sEMG (surface electromyography) to measure electrical activity of the paraspinal muscles while weight bearing. It's measuring the muscular response to spinal subluxation. The ScanVision effectively provides a quantifiable means of showing patients what you feel with your hands. The simple to use software shows the levels of muscle tension about the spine in an easy to understand graphic. The ScanVision's patented wireless 5 electrode design allows you to perform the test in less than one minute. MyoVision's proprietary sEMG technology is a completely safe, painless and non-invasive method of evaluating spinal health utilizing the well established EKG technology.

- UltrasoundUltrasound therapy is implemented with an ultrasound machine that has an ultrasound transducer (sound head) attached. When a small amount of gel is applied to a particular body part, a physical therapist will slowly move the sound head in a small circular motion on the area. The settings for the ultrasound machine can be altered to control the intensity and depth of penetration of the ultrasound waves. In situations where the heating effects undesirable, like with a fresh injury that produces acute inflammation, ultrasound therapy can be pulsed rather than continuously transmitted in order to reduce any discomfort the patient may feel. On the other hand, the intensity of the ultrasound may be increased during instances where breaking down scar tissue is the objective. Although breaking down scar tissue through ultrasound therapy may take a longer amount of time, the ultrasound treatment will normally take approximately 4-6 minutes, depending on the size and location of the area being treated.
- MRIAssisted Stretching is considered active care, and it is an integral part of getting patients back to the pre-injury status. However, we also understand our limits as well. There are going to be few patients who, despite all the conservative measures exhausted, will have symptoms that still persist. At Hifai Chiropractic, we have the network to refer out to MRI or Medical Specialist to co-manage the injury.

- Computed TomographyOur chiropractor will start your first visit at Hifai Chiropractic by asking you questions to gather information about your present condition and health history. We will also perform a physical examination and any needed imaging or lab tests, like MRI, CT scan, or X-ray. When we gather all this information, it will enable our chiropractor to reach a diagnosis, which will, in turn, help determine whether chiropractic services are the best treatments for your condition.
- SciaticaWhen it comes to pain, many Americans know the struggles that come with it. Pain that tends to affect normal daily activities include back pain, neck pain, sciatica, and neuropathy. If pain is negatively affecting your life, Hifai Chiropractic has many treatment options to help you while avoiding surgery and prescription drugs. We believe relief is possible with natural chiropractic treatments, including Traction Therapy. The Traction Therapy technique we offer at Hifai Chiropractic treats several spinal conditions.
- WhiplashThe reason people need to be examined by a chiropractor after an accident is because when you experience a forceful impact, it can cause the spinal column to move out of alignment. Accidents can also cause injuries like whiplash, which generally don’t immediately show-up – sometimes taking weeks to arise.
- Sports MedicineSports injuries are not just limited to professional athletes. However, due to the aggressive nature of sports, especially for high impact (like running and tennis) and contact (like football and lacrosse) sports, injuries are prevalent, even for amateur athletes.
- Physical TherapyThe most significant advantage of Traction Therapy is that it does not involve surgery. You can heal your pain without any blood loss, scarring, infection, or pain injection. There is also no need to take time off work or to endure long hours of physical therapy. Traction Therapy is an excellent solution for those suffering from pain caused by a wide-variety of spine-related health issues...

- Ankle SprainWalking can change when you experience an injury, such as an ankle sprain or knee strain, and can produce hip pain. When injured, your walk shifts to counterbalance new body demands. Anything that causes an imbalance when you are in motion is most likely going to result in painful hip problems. Hip pain is also connected to discomfort in the lower back.

- Plantar FasciitisAre your first steps in the morning painful? Is it usually stabbing pain that involves inflammation on the tissues at the bottom of each foot from the toes to the heel bone? It may be painful in the beginning, but it gets better slowly. However, it may return after you have been standing for too long or sitting and standing up immediately. When inflamed, the band of tissue (plantar fascia) is called plantar fasciitis and is caused when you put too much stress on your feet or overuse it. Plantar fascia protects your foot's muscles, ligaments, tendons, and nerves. Not only this, but it also helps your foot function properly with every step of yours. We understand that pain in any form is disrupting and making it difficult for you to continue with work or personal projects.
