Founded in 1927, Las Palmas Elementary School is located in San Clemente, Calif. The school serves more than 650 students in kindergarten through grade five. Its general academic curriculum includes reading, writing, math, science, social studies and technical education. It offers a foreign language course in Spanish. Las Palmas Elementary School provides special education programs for students with special needs. The school also offers a variety of student activities related to arts, music, and health and physical education. It operates a parent-teacher association that organizes fundraising activities and special events. In addition, it offers Title I, accelerated reader and English Language Learners programs. The school provides meals, guidance counseling and health care.
