Located in San Bernardino, Calif., Valley Star Children and Family Services is a community-based organization that serves children and adults with mental health conditions. The agency works in partnership with school personnel, county staff, parents and guardians. It offers school consulting, crisis intervention and after-school programs. Valley Star Children and Family Services provides in-home psychological assessment, case management and behavioral care services. In addition, the agency offers counseling services for individuals, groups and families. It is a part of Stars Behavioral Health Group, which has been serving the individuals with emotional disorders since 1988. The parent company s staff is comprised of more than 1,000 behavioral health workers, including psychiatrists, psychologists, medical doctors, social workers, nurses, therapists, counselors and teachers.
