Founded in 1905, the San Bernardino Police Department has more than 350 sworn officers and over 150 civilian support members. It offers a variety of law enforcement services to nearly 200,000 people and is located in San Bernardino, Calif. The department s uniformed and community service officers respond to approximately 1,000 services calls every day. The San Bernardino Police Department s investigations division is made up of narcotics, homicide, robbery and burglary prevention units. Its administrative services division solves personnel issues, documents criminal papers and hosts a variety of departmental training programs. The San Bernardino Police Department also operates several traffic safety programs and provides an online portal for citizens to report minor types of crimes.
