OMG!! Consumers be informed!! First let me say I'm a 63-year-old senior woman and I have never done a bad thing in my life! Tonight I was escorted out of the Home Depot, per orders from loss prevention team, or so I was told by the assistant manager. He told me that they are watching me, and documenting everything I do and say. WHAT?? I have never seen such a malicious and unethical store as I have seen here at this Home Depot! The management at the store has absolutely no integrity. So let me give you my theory as to why this happened. I had filed a complaint at Home Depot corporate, as well as stated my opinions and disgust verbally after looking at my quotes for installing my laminate floors.I initially went in for my kitchen, and the sales person encouraged me to get a project loan, in order to get exactly what I wanted. I had absolutely no idea what horror lied in front of me. I decided to use the rest of what I was approved for to complete some much needed projects in my home. I needed my floors done so I got a quote, actually it turned out to be 11 quotes that were from $3600. To $1250., and then back up to $1860! By the way it was only for 420 ft., I have a very small home! A WARNING TO ANYONE that is getting any service done at his Home Depot! DONT!! But if you do, ask for a DETAILED PRINTOUT of all the charges. Go through each and every charge and then add it up! If there are any charges that seem "excessive", whatever it may be, research it thoroughly. Do not take their word for it, go investigate any excessive charges for yourself. This store is corrupt and they lie. Well after all the harassment, the manager of the store finally set up a meeting with me. She apologized for all I was going through, and she said they were going to be doing my floors. She wanted to supervise it herself, in order to make sure everything went smoothly. She asked me to wait a little longer, until after they had inventory. She guaranteed me she would take care of everything. So I waited.....boy was that a mistake. After inventory she set up my install day .My husband, son, and I spent the weekend moving all of our furniture out of those rooms, and we even had to put some in our driveway because there was no room. They had also delivered 36 boxes of laminate flooring.The installers came out to do my floors,and I do not recommend them! They had no tools with them except a 10 foot level. I questioned them as to why and how they could work with no tools. They took out a $10-$12 lead testing kit and attempted to test my walls for lead, I told him no! RESEARCH, RESEARCH THIS PEOPLE!!! Next they put the level down on the floor, and one guy stepped on the end of the level and the other one took a picture. They said they could not do my flooring, and I could not have laminate, and my only option was to have carpet or vinyl. They said my floor was so uneven that it could not be leveled, not true! They also said they do not level floors, not true, and they walked out of my house. I called the manager, extremely upset, she said it was out of her hands. I asked her to please have someone else come out and measure my floor, to verify this ridiculous conclusion. .So she sent an assistant manager and a sales associate to measure my floors, and by the way they had no experience doing that. One of them put the level down and stepped on the end! Not one contractor that I spoke to knew of anyone that stepped on the end of a level to check the level of a subfloor! My husband is a contractor and he measured our floor with his 10 foot level, and it had ONE place that was no more than 1/16 to 2/16 off! This Manager, that threw me to the dogs, was the same woman that asked me to wait until after inventory, and guaranteed me my floors would be done. It has been two months that all of this has gone on, and my floors are still not done. They have strung me along, and I don't know whether they're going to do it or not!! By the way I have paid for the install
