Established in 1979, Thousand Oaks Elementary School is a learning center that is fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency. The school is governed by the North East Independent School District, which serves more than 62,000 students through various elementary, middle and high schools. It enrolls students in kindergarten through grade five. The school provides special and gifted and talented education programs.
