PROS: None.
CONS: “Sgt Clutch” is very much overpriced and has a blatant disregard for the customer and customer service; which would suggest an overall disregard to ethical business practices.
It is believed the parts used were subject to ridiculously high mark ups leading to parts and labor being extremely expensive. Considering their business practices by the way I was treated, there is no evidence of military core values.
Long story:
Sgt Clutch professes to be a military friendly business and attempts to substantiate their claim with military memorabilia throughout the office. Based on my experience, that’s not the case. I chose Sgt Clutch because they were the only ones available at the time my vehicle needed repair. Hind-sight being 20/20, it proved to be a costly mistake. I was promised delivery on several occasions and after voicing my displeasure, the vehicle was provided well beyond the promised date. Unfortunately, because of the constant delays, I was overdue and eventually had to cancel my TDY. Overall, this entire situation has been very vexing and anyone needing work to their transmission should avoid Sgt Clutch. Check the reviews, especially the Better Business Bureau(BBB).

The end result: the transmission is making noises, slipping and leaking from both the front and rear seal.
Avoid Sgt Clutch at all costs.
Run, do not walk away from this place. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in WOAI, I thought that they did a better job of sussing out advertisers. They should be embarrassed for playing ads for these morons. The commercials promise free towing with service, then try and pull it back justifying this by saying "That means with an overhaul." Well that's not what the radio commercial indicates ... When I called him on this, he agreed to deduct the $60 towing, but when my wife returned with the car, there was an $80 towing charge. That's simply dishonest ... But they're also incompetent. They promised the car in two days, it took a week. All-in-all a VERY disappointing experience
This the worst place ever.... Never ever go here..... My truck had to have the transmission fixed 3 times after they fix it the first time... They kept my truck for over 6 weeks the worst place ever..if I could give a negative star I would
These guys are so foany they make me sick. One guy gave me a price I was happy with price quote. Hook line and sinker they reeled me in. I knew price was going to be a little higher... It always is...but $1900 to rebuild a simple transmission is absurd. Of course they give u this quote after they rip it out of your vehicle so pretty much stuck using them or have them put it back and cause more harm. My advice is to go somewhere more honest from the get go. Any reputable business doesn't have to stick up for themselves on making positive reviews for the business. Let ur work and work ethics do the talking.
They have my car hostage they have not completed the work i paid for and are know saying i have to pay more for the what they said they would do for a set price. they are not worth it i thought i cold trust someone with a national brand attached but i was sadly mistaken. :(
I am a single mom and this shop is just around the corner from my house so when my check engine light came on I took it here and asked them to scan it to find out why the light was on. When I returned later the manager started telling me that my car was in "desperate" need of a laundry list of maintenance work. I was skeptical since I had just had a brand new transmission installed by another shop and they had looked the car over from top to bottom and gave it a clean bill of health after the install. I asked the manager to tell me why the check engine light was on but he became evasive and started in again about all of these other issues. Then a technician came in while the manager was talking to me and said that the only reason my check engine light was on was because a hose had come loose causing a vacuum leak. The look on the manager's face made it clear that he had not expected this technician to come in and tell me that and he was visibly embarrassed. I asked the manager why he had not told me about the loose hose but he only looked away. I paid for the reconnection of the hose and left immediately. Places like this give honest mechanics a bad name.
