General Info
I am passionate about learning and growing. I hold a Master’s Degree from Texas Tech University where I studied Exercise and Sports Sciences. After many years working in Civil Service and then later in Corporate America, I went back to school and graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a second Master’s Degree in Instructional Design where I focused on Adult Learning and Leadership. Most recently I joined the John Maxwell Team where I have committed time and energy in becoming a Certified Speaker, Trainer and Coach. My goal is simple – “pouring into others, to help them reach their potential as people and leaders.” I am continuing my work in a Corporate Environment where I am a Senior Trainer. I started there as a Coach working with members to achieve better health and well-being. Within 9 months of being hired, I was promoted into a management role and finally into the training role I hold today. Prior to this, I worked as a Civilian for the United States Air Force (USAF). I started there as a Fitness Program Manager. After a few years I became the Lead for Managers for the Air Education and Training Command, During my time working with the USAF, I moved to an AF Level position where I worked with training and development of all Fitness Managers working for the USAF. In addition to my day job, I have been an entertainer for 10 years. I own my own business, Buttons Party Events. Through this venue of professional clowning, I am able to bring smiles to the young and the young at heart. I perform for birthday parties, corporate events and donate time at hospitals and prisons. I have won awards at the state and world level in performance, makeup and costume. I am currently serving as the Immediate Past President of the Texas Clown Association and am currently serving as the Membership Chair for the World Clown Association. And finally, I am passionate about health and wellness. I have run three half marathons with my amazing husband and I hope to complete a full marathon someday. In addition to this, I'm very proud of the second degree Black Belt I earned with my wonderful son. I plan to spend a lifetime leading, laughing and growing.
