Northwood Elementary School has been operational for more than 50 years and is located in San Antonio. The school is recognized by the Texas Education Agency and has an annual enrollment of more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade five. It imparts education in various subjects, such as foreign languages, math, science, social studies, art, computer applications, and health and physical education. The school has a library media center that provides an extensive collection of materials to stimulate the intellectual development of students and staff. Northwood Elementary School is operated by the North East Independent School District, which operates more than 60 elementary, middle and high schools and has a staff of over 4,200 teachers.
