The North East Independent School District provides educational and extracurricular programs for students through its various elementary, middle and high schools. Its academic curriculum includes classes in a variety of subjects, such as English, visual media, reading, writing, mathematics and social studies, as well as French, German, Japanese, Latin And Spanish. The North East Independent School District also offers various career and technology programs, including business education, construction trades, electrical systems, health science technology, marketing, and family and consumer science. It participates in a variety of sports activities, such as football, baseball, tennis, softball, volleyball, soccer, golf, wrestling, basketball, cross-country, and track and field. The school district also provides band, choir, orchestra and music programs. Additionally, it administers the English as a Second Language (ESL) program .
