- Primary CareDr. Talia Tunstill is a therapeutic optometrist with residency training in primary care and ocular disease. She strives to provide quality eye and vision care through a patient-focused approach.
- GlaucomaDr. Emily Burnette grew up in San Antonio, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Texas at Dallas. Then, she attended the UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry and obtained her Doctorate in Optometry. She completed training in a variety of healthcare settings across Maine, Nebraska, Washington, and Texas. Dr. Burnette is ready to provide full-scope optometric care including the management of anterior and posterior segment ocular diseases, progressive myopia, and surgical co-management. Currently, she is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist in Texas. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association and Texas Optometric Association.
- OphthalmologyDr. Tunstill was born and raised in Fort Hood, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a minor in Stem education from Texas A&M University. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry. She completed clinical externships in contact lens, primary care, and ocular disease at a private practice and the VA clinic in Austin, Texas. During optometry school, she participated in multiple domestic medical mission trips and one international mission trip in Guatemala. Upon graduation, Dr. Tunstill completed a residency at the Rosenberg School of Optometry in primary care with an emphasis on ocular disease. Her residency training consisted of ocular disease rotations with local cornea, retina, uveitis, and glaucoma specialists. During her training, Dr. Tunstill presented case reports, research, and lectures for the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, local optometric societies, and UIW’s school of medicine and school of optometry.
