My fiance' and I set up arrangements with Great Events months before our wedding to ensure that what we rented would be delivered at the correct time. Two weeks before the wedding, she called and made the final payment and again confirmed it would be delivered during the time frame promised and it was again confirmed that it would be. Two days before the wedding, my fiance' again called just to follow up, but was told they never promised the time we were given for delivery. She then talked to the owner who told her she was unreasonable and he wouldn't talk to her anymore, which really just seemed to be that he knew she was right. I started talking to him and tried to again explain what we had been promised. His response was what really frustrated me as he told me my fiance' probably heard the person wrong or was completely mistaken. He also made it clear that we weren't his priority as he had 30 other events. This ruined the whole set up. I will NEVER use them again.

HORRIBLE! Warning to all! Set up slow and will ONLY put tables up once. If tables need to be moved you must do it. If they bring linens you don't use they charge you for it. Set up employees rude and have attitude! Wood dance floor with sub floor uneven. Had to go buy own plywood to put under dance floor to stabilize dance floor. Bad business ethics.

We have not had any rain in San Antonio for so long, so we did not have a back-up plan for a wedding this weekend. My wife already had rented linens, tables, chairs, white carpet and an arch from Great Events. When she was in their office, she saw a picture of 2 tents and several hundred chairs in front of The Alamo. I don't know how many hoops you have to jump through to put tents up on The Alamo property, but this company did. I called them about getting last minute tents for THAT EVENING and they told me what they had left and said they could deliver and set up the tent in 3 hours. They told me one of the tents was scheduled to be cleaned next week, but they would have thier tent formman clean it on site when they put it up. They put up the two tents and one looked brand new, and the other looked great except for a little dirt on the four corners. I would not have noticed it unless they pointed it out! He wiped them down and saved the day!

Here is the story...My sister and her boyfriend of 6 years had a "shotgun wedding" after she got pregnant. The wedding was "planned" 4 weeks after she found out she was expecting. My sister lives in Dallas, so I pretty much took care of everything here in San Antonio. I mentioned to a good friend and co-worker that I had to put this wedding together and he mentioned that he rented a popcorn machine and some red carpet for an Oscar party from Great Events and Rentals. He picked the stuff up and said they had a showroom near the airport and that I should stop by. I love my sis, but was not looking forward to "planning" her emergency wedding. I stopped by their showroom, without an appointment, and was skeptial and then was impressed. I could not find their showroom because their sign is tiny! They keep all their items in great condition and when I told them my our budget, they told me what was available for that price range. Dont just call them, stop by and get a tour. They were great!

my unlce died on a Wednesday and we needed to rent about 75 chairs and 10 tables to have a get together at my Aunts house after the funeral on Saturday. These guys answered the phone, delivered everything at a reasonable rate to New Braunfels, and the quality and cleanliness of the chairs, tables and linens was superb. I did call a different company that I had rented from before, and their delivery charge was really expensive and I remeber the chairs were dirty and the tables were really old an beat up. I recommend Great Events!
